We believe the market research suggesting that taste, not function, is consumers’ most important consideration when they purchase bars.
Nuts. Nuts. And more nuts. Our crunchy nut bars are made with 65% whole nuts - more than any other bar on the market (that we know of at least!). Real, whole, premium tree nuts are our core ingredient - no date paste or nut butters which are the most common inexpensive filler used in bars that also makes them chewy.
In one word – Crunchy. Most bars are chewy and some are chewy and crunchy. Some nuts are harder than others, but all our bars are crunchy which is a key differentiator. Why is there a ‘premium’ and a ‘core’ line? Pistachios are much more expensive than other nuts. Hazelnuts and cashews are on the more expensive end and can fluctuate in price. We have chosen to take some margin compression with cashews to keep these in the ‘core’ lineup.
65% nuts is a measure of nuts per gram. Our bars are 40 grams which means that there are 26g of nuts in each bar! This gives S40 Crunchy Nut Bars more healthy fats, more vitamins, and more minerals than in other leading nut bars.
Our bars range from 4 to 7 grams of protein. Except for our hazelnut bar which comes in at 4 grams, all the others are considered a “good source” of protein, up there with grains and seeds, meat, poultry, fish, eggs and dairy foods.
Some people will consider our bars an indulgent snack at 11-12 grams of sugar. Some bars like CLIF, Power Bar, PROBAR, and Perfect Bar are much higher, containing, on average, 20 grams of added sugars. KIND bars have a large range, some are as high as 13 grams of sugar and many much less. RXBAR has 13-15 grams, LaraBar has 15 to 20 grams of sugar, but these bars do not include added sugars. Like in KIND bars and others, our glucose syrup is a liquid sweetener made from corn and should not be confused with high fructose corn syrup (HFCS). We believe our sugar matrix is key to our unique taste and texture.
We do everything we can to ensure our bars stay intact, but breaks are going to happen from time to time. The good news is, our bars usually break cleanly and are easier to eat and share that way.
We ship these from Crete because that is where they were born. These bars are a traditional Mediterranean snack where for centuries people made these simple bars in their homes from nuts gathered from their trees. In fact, similar bars are made and enjoyed throughout the region and are today widely loved throughout Europe and other parts of the world.
Our Crunchy Nut Bars contain honey, which may not fall within some vegan diets.

While our facility contains several allergens, we separate the major allergens so that they don’t come in contact with the “lower risk” ingredients. Furthermore, we thoroughly clean the equipment between processing runs, and perform swab testing to ensure there is no cross- contamination.
Still, we highly recommend that if you have an allergy to peanuts, tree nuts, or sesame products, that you read our allergen statements on the packaging carefully and proceed with caution!

It's true! Not just the shell, but the seed kernel too. Bigger isn't always better but in our case we are both.
Yes, no animals were involved in any of our growing or processing.
Sunflower seeds are right up there with others seeds like flax, chia, hemp, sesame, and pumpkin as a good source of healthy fats, plant-based protein, fiber, and antioxidant polyphenols. Sunflower seeds are a complete protein, containing 9 of the essential amino acids. And, like other nuts and seeds, sunflower seeds are also a popular, high-fat, low carb snack that can make an excellent addition to your keto or paleo diet.

We ship online to the lower 48 in the United States for free. Alaska and Hawaii, sorry you gotta pay a little extra. You can avoid extra shipping charges when you purchase through Amazon with a Prime membership, however. We do not currently ship internationally.
